PSU Oil stocks up; IOC zooms 1.6%

Stocks of public sector oil marketing companies rally on BSE after the oil marketing companies hiked petrol prices by Rs.2.58 per litre and diesel by Rs.2.26 per litre, with effect in Delhi from midnight. Shares of IOC, BPCL, ONGC were up in the range of 1% to 2%. The S&P BSE Oil and Gas opened at 9,377.60 and hits a high of 9,393.06 and a low of 9,354.

Indian Oil Corporation Ltd is currently trading at Rs. 422.1, up by Rs. 6.35 or 1.53% from its previous closing of Rs. 415.75 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 418.5 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 424.2 and Rs. 418 respectively. So far 563329(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 100942.02 crore.

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd is currently trading at Rs. 911.1, up by Rs. 4.05 or 0.45% from its previous closing of Rs. 907.05 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 916.55 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 922.3 and Rs. 908.15 respectively. So far 328465(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 30715.43 crore.
