The market is still sluggish with no major
triggers in sight and FII volume drying up with Chirstmas holidays.
The S&P BSE Sensex is
trading at 25,686 down 49 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 7,817 down 17
points.
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.28% at 11,020, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.38% at 11,670.
Some buying activity is seen in pharma, consumer durable, capital goods,auto and banking sectors, while IT, teck, metal, FMCG and energy sectors are showing weakness on BSE.
Sun Pharmaceuticals, Tata Steel, SBI, Cipla, Tata Motors, HUL, Dr. Reddy's Lab, Axis Bank and Bajaj-Auto are among the gainers, whereas Adani Ports, Infosys, Coal India, TCS, ITC, ONGC, M&M, HDFC, RIL and Maruti Suzuki are losing sheen on BSE.
