LIVE MARKET SENSEX NIFTY DOWN:STOCK FUTURE CALLS

The Nifty50 came under pressure but was still trading above its crucial psychological support level of 7,650, supported by gains in IT, capital goods, consumer durable, and metal stocks.

Shares of Texmaco Rail surged over 8 per cent while that of Eros International Media gained over 4 per cent in early trade.

As banks, traders and foreign investors prepare themselves for the outcome of next week's Fed policy meet, the rupee fell 6 paise to 66.77 against the US dollar. The US central bank is expected to hike rate for the first time in nearly seven years.

  1. The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty opened on a flat note to cautious note on Friday tracking Asian markets. Sensex opened 29.45 points up at 25,281, while NSE Nifty opened 16.30 points up at 7,699.60.
